We offer a unique blend of in-office counseling services and/or Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). No horse experience necessary. We are skilled in trauma-informed care and employ numerous effective treatment approaches. An EAGALA Certified therapist and an equine specialist facilitate EAP, an Experiential model of therapy. Additional therapeutic models include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) groups are offered to children, teens and parents. Social skills group curriculum is evidence based and targets younger children's social/emotional awareness. Teen groups identify values, belonging, and direction. Our parent support groups are open to parents of all age groups and are held weekly for an hour and a half. Through direct observation, interaction and reflection our clients enjoy taking what they learn in the barn and applying it to their daily lives.
Participants experience the impact of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors/actions via metaphors related to:
nonverbal and verbal communication and interpretation
assertiveness (or lack thereof)
creative thinking
problem-solving
relationships
teamwork
