OUR MISSION

The mission of American Veterans Projects and Retreats (AVPAR) is to serve our nation by Honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families so they can enjoy living a productive life with peace of mind.

WHAT WE DO FOR VETERANS, FIRST RESPONDERS
& FAMILIES

  1. Employment & Placement - More than 90% of our requests are for meaningful jobs. AVPAR educates, motivates, and helps veterans and their families find rewarding job opportunities.

  2. Programs - Projects, Recreational Therapy and Healing Retreats that entertain, enlighten, inspire, and strengthen the individuals and their families.

  3. Events - Superstar Speakers, sporting events, Heroes & Hamburgers, concerts, Harleys  & Horses, and more.

  4. The Spartan Pledge - Suicide prevention for our heroes, and their families. Help us save another  life today.

  5. Community Awareness & Partnerships - Willing communities, generous residents, and corporate sponsorships fuel these programs so our veterans, first responders, and families experience the appreciation and honors they have earned and deserve.

HOW IT GOT STARTED

RETIRED VETERANS AND CARING CITIZENS

One evening after a day filled with outdoor activities, a bunch of us friends with our families were hanging out on the beach, having a BBQ, and sharing stories. We didn't know it at that moment, but the entire day was really an impromptu retreat... and it made all of us feel re-energized, happy, loved.

Then Wayne (my Canadian military friend) suggested that we start offering this for Veterans. I liked his idea. And for several years, we personally sponsored and hosted events at our place. Later I learned that if we established a non-profit organization, we could help more people (Veterans, First Responders, and Families). 

In 2019, we created the American Veterans Projects and Retreats (AVPAR) to honor and assist Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

We are looking forward to making new friends

and "Sharing the Blessings".
